How You Can Know For Certain God Will Answer Your Prayers

Uncategorized Jan 08, 2018

Now, there's a bold promise. I am about to tell you how you can rest assured on your blessed assurance that God hears your prayers and ANSWERS them!

This is maybe the most important bit of information you are going to read today. If you believe God; if you've accepted His gift of salvation and pledged to follow hard after Jesus all the days of your life; then you, my friend, have been given a powerful privilege!

The Privilege of Prayer!

God not only invites you to step into His throne room and discuss your concerns with Him. He implores you to come boldly!

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace; that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16 NKJV

God doesn't invite you to come, just to shoot the breeze! He invites you to come to Him, so that you may get something from Him! (Notice the word, "obtain" and "find" in Hebrews 4:16.)

Here are 3 absolute truths (truths that are factual whether or not you choose to believe them) that prove God will answer your prayers.

1. You can know God will answer your prayers because He's given you His Word.

Scripture tells us that God cannot lie, nor can He break a promise.

"So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us." Hebrews 6:18 NLT

Scripture (God's Word) also tells us that when we pray, God answers us.

"Call on Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3

Scripture also tells us that when we pray, God gives us what we ask for!

"And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for."

I could go on and on, but I already have. Check out these 20 Verses that Assure You God Answers Prayer

2. You can know God will answer your prayers because He's proven His love.

Take a few minutes to listen to this dramatic reading of Romans 8. Pay close attention to the culmination of these truths at the end of the presentation.

"In all these things we are more than conquerors...for nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Here is a list of the questions Paul dared his audience of Christ followers at the church in Rome to answer:

  1. What shall we say about such wonderful things?
  2. If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
  3. Won't he also give us everything else?
  4. Who dares accuse us?
  5. Who then will condemn us?
  6. Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love?

"He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32 NIV

If  ever you doubt the love of God, take a seat at the foot of the cross. You can know God will answer your prayers because He's proven His love to you.

3. You can know God will answer your prayers because He's done it before.

All you have to do, is go to a church--any Bible believing church and ask these questions of a group gathered there:

  • Who among you has been healed of disease?
  • Who has experienced restoration of a relationship?
  • Who's come through a storm and made it to the other side?
  • Who has had a financial need met?
  • Who has experienced something only God can do?

If you go looking for miracles, you will find them. There are miracles happening all around us all the time. And, as you choose to trust God to answer your prayers, you will experience some of those miracles in your own life as well.
